It is a privilege to teach science at Fossil Ridge High School in my home state of Colorado! I have been a high school teacher since 2016, teaching a variety of courses including Biology, Physics, IB Sports, Exercise & Health, Introduction to Health, and Medical Terminology. I am passionate about helping students understand the incredible world we live in and develop curiosity about how it works. I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Adams State University and am committed to making science accessible, engaging, and meaningful for all students.
Outside of school, I am a proud parent of two and enjoy spending as much time as possible with my family. I believe learning should be an adventure, and I strive to create a classroom environment rooted in curiosity, discovery, and support.
In addition to teaching, I am also an assistant track & field coach at Fossil Ridge High School. I have been coaching track & field since 2013, beginning at Alamosa High School, followed by Evergreen High School, and then spending nine years at Dakota Ridge High School. At Fossil Ridge, I serve as the hurdles coach and absolutely love working with this event group.
