I am the English Language Development (ELD) teacher at Fossil Ridge High School. The 2026-2027 school year is my 9th year as a Sabercat, and I have been an educator for 22 years. Before coming to Fossil, I was a 4th grade teacher and the ELD/Literacy coach at Laurel Elementary in Poudre School District. I'm also the ELD teacher at Kinard Core Knowledge Middle School.
I received my B.A. in Spanish and Elementary Education from Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. After graduating, I married my high school sweetheart and began teaching Spanish in the Douglas County School District at Sierra Middle School in Parker, CO. I received my M.A. in Linguistically Diverse Education from the University of Colorado at Denver during this time. After 11 years of teaching Spanish and ELD for three years at Sierra, my family moved to Fort Collins.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with her family, including her husband, Rob, and two sons, Jackson (17) and Oliver (11). Jackson is in 11th grade here at FRHS, and Oliver is in 6th grade at Kinard. Our family enjoys hiking, biking, and skiing together. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with family, golfing, and completing jigsaw puzzles.
